Descripción
Es una board basada en el microcontrolador Atmel SAM3X8E con un procesador Cortex-M3 ARM de 32 bits, posee las mismas dimensiones que la board Arduino MEGA (predecesora), una gran característica, puesto que permite la conexión de board Shield que usa esta, siempre y cuando exista compatibilidad, en lo que respecta al pinout de Arduino v1.0 y en especial por los niveles de tensión de funcionamiento, ya que este modelo opera a 3.3V. El voltaje de operación de esta board permite el uso de baterías de polímero de litio (LiPo) de 3.7V. Cuenta con dos puertos USB, uno para programación y otro que puede actuar como USB Host, como para trabajar con Android. Respecto a la velocidad de conexión serial, ha pasado de 115kbps a 1000kbps lo cual incrementa enormemente la velocidad de conexión cuando se capturan datos por puerto serial.
